Hanrob’s mission:
Hanrob is a family business dedicated to
providing the highest quality pet care and
accommodation, dog training and educational services to pet owners, corporations and students.
Hanrob was established in 1981 as a dog and cat boarding facility in Heathcote, 45 kilometres south of Sydney. Founders, Hannie and Bob Biggs had a passion for animals and a genuine concern for their welfare and wanted to provide exceptional care for pets whilst their owners were on holidays.
Hanrob Dog Training Academy began in 1986 to provide dog obedience and behavioural training. In 1995 Hanrob expanded into specialised training services, providing Quarantine Detector Dogs to Australian Quarantine Inspection Services (AQIS) and now trains dogs and their handlers to other local and international government departments and private organisations.
Hannie & Bob's son Andrew joined the company in 2004 as Managing Director with 20 years experience in the Pet Care Industry. Prior to this role he was the founder and CEO of Assistance Dogs Australia, a charity which trains dogs to help people with physical disabilities. He was instrumental in the set up and developed numerous initiatives to ensure the sustainability of the organisation.
Having grown up in the business, Andrew has a strong bond to dogs and cats and, working with a dedicated team, is committed to continue to deliver the highest standard of Pet Services.
Hanrob is located on 15 acres at Heathcote and also Sydney Airport, conveniently located near the Domestic Long Term Car Park.
Hanrob has the most modern pet accommodation and training facilities in the southern hemisphere and are one of Australia’s leading pet boarding and training service providers.
Since 1981 Hanrob has grown to meet demand and changing societal trends. Hanrob is renowned for providing the ultimate level of pet care, dog training and pet education services throughout Australia and overseas.
